About Africa New Day

Africa New Day is a non-profit, operating in Goma, Eastern DRC, determined to end the cycles of violence, poverty, and inequality fostered by lack of knowledge, bad governance, and the absence of opportunities through sustainable and long-term solutions.

The History of Africa New Day

Africa New Day was founded by Camille and Esther Ntoto, a passionate couple born in the Congo, raised in Belgium and college-educated in the U.S. The Ntotos felt compelled to do something about their home country's humanitarian crisis. In 2005, they moved to the DRC and began partnering with current organizations to start spreading a message of hope. It all started with a radio program that reaches hundreds of thousands of listeners and their efforts expanded into various programs for women, men, and children.

Today, Africa New Day has almost 200 Congolese employees seeking to transform the Congo from within using sustainable, long-term solutions. Our team operates various programs that center around education, advocacy, and economic development. In the U.S., Africa New Day has a small but mighty presence, working to create awareness for the Congo, and raising funds to secure sustainable solutions in the DRC.
