About Africa New Day School

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Neslon Mandela

At Africa New Day, we know that education is essential to transform eastern Congo and empower the next generation of leaders. That is why we founded the Africa New Day School. Our school focuses on providing holistic education through core national curriculum, leadership training, entrepreneurship opportunities, and spiritual guidance. Through the Africa New Day School, future leaders prepare to be that catalyst for change for their families, communities, and country.

Testimonials

Hear From Our Beneficiaries

Read stories from individuals whose lives have been transformed by our programs.

After the volcanic eruption in May 2021, we lost everything. Africa New Day visited us, paid our school fees, and restored our hope. We never expected help from another school. Africa New Day visited us, comforted us, and wiped away our tears. We call ourselves highly favored.

Students from the Nziyi School

Bethel joined the Africa New Day school unable to speak or think for herself, repeating every question she was asked. With the help of our psychologist and the love and care from our teachers, she began to change, answering questions and doing homework on her own. 'I am the happiest parent on planet earth. Thank you, Africa New Day. You are indeed dawning a new day in the lives of many,' said Bethel’s Mother.

FAQs

Why is the AND School only present in Goma when its level of education is needed all over DR Congo?

We are still building a solid foundation before expanding throughout the whole country.

How is the AND School capable of combining the National Education Program with specific courses such as leadership and dance?

We have revised our timetable and extended class hours to 3 pm, allowing us to cover both the National Education Program and our specific courses.

How do you ensure students who are struggling get needed attention?

We limit the number of students in a classroom to 35 with two teachers per classroom. This allows us to give each student the necessary attention. A psychologist also follows up with children to increase their efficiency in class.

Do you have an exchange network with other private schools?

Yes, we do. There is an association of private schools in the area that meets regularly to share experiences, knowledge, and practical tools.

What is the spiritual foundation for the Africa New Day School?

Our school is Biblically based and teaches transformational leadership, self-confidence, and human dignity. We believe in what the Bible says: “Teach a child in the way he should go and when he grows up, he shall not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) We teach our students that God is at the center of every great achievement. Every week, we hold worship services for different grades, where we share the Word of God and how we serve Him.
