Humanitarian: Supporting Displaced Communities and Advocating for political reform
Africa New Day is dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to displaced individuals and communities in the DR Congo. Our efforts focus on offering immediate relief and long-term support to those affected by displacement.
About Our Humanitarian Efforts
The Eastern DR Congo has been affected by conflicts, natural disasters, and other crises, leading to the displacement of thousands of people. Africa New Day’s Humanitarian program works to support these displaced individuals by providing essential services and resources to help them rebuild their lives.
Our efforts include providing shelter, food, medical care, and education to displaced families. We also work to address the long-term needs of these communities by promoting self-sufficiency and resilience through various support programs.
Stopping sex trafficking in its tracks
By implementing sustainable and long-term solutions, Africa New Day aims to break the cycles of violence, poverty, and inequality that contribute to sex trafficking in the Eastern DR Congo. Focusing on the root causes that lead women and girls into survival sex; we recognize that displacement, poverty, and lack of opportunities are key factors driving many women and girls to resort to sex work to provide for themselves and their children.
This approach empowers Congolese women to become leaders in their communities, equipping them with the tools to tackle Congo’s problems at the source. Africa New Day works to strengthen women's capacity to act by helping them develop their knowledge and skills, promoting self-confidence and facilitating access to resources, transforming lives and reducing vulnerability to sex trafficking.
