Leadership Academy: Equipping Leaders for Community Transformation
The Leadership Academy invests in transformation by equipping participants with knowledge, skills and tools needed to discover, develop and deploy their potential to positively impact their communities.

About the Leadership Academy
In Eastern DRC, far too many generations have lacked opportunities for education, leadership, and productive employment. More than ⅔ of the population lives below the poverty line of less than $2.15 per day and Congo faces a lack of effective leadership at many levels. Africa New Day’s Leadership Academy educates, trains, and empowers participants to become leaders in their communities. Through a Christ-centered lens, participants learn key aspects of effective leadership, the foundations of project management, healthy communication, and entrepreneurial skills. As a final project, all participants develop and implement their own initiatives to further develop and serve their communities.

Impact & Influence
Over the past 5 years, our Leadership Academy has empowered nearly 5,000 young adults, 30% of whom are women. Now operating in eight cities throughout Congo (Goma, Bukavu, Bunia, Butembo, Kisangani, Lubumbashi, Kasaï, and Kinshasa), our academy is helping build the next generation of leaders in Eastern DRC.
By the Numbers

Leaders are taught that their physical, spiritual, moral, social, and mental lives are centered on God, found in our Lord Jesus Christ.
