Un Jour Nouveau School: Educating the Next Generation
The School provides education for children from pre-K through 10th grade and helps them discover, develop and deploy their potential.
About Un Jour Nouveau School
Perhaps the most effective way to transform the DRC is through educating children and empowering them to have a better life. Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Africa New Day has joined the fight by creating a school to educate a new generation with an empowering curriculum. Our goal is to mitigate the previous barriers to education exacerbated by wars, natural disasters, displacement, gender and more. Along with the national education curriculum, students are taught leadership, entrepreneurship, music and dance. These future leaders prepare to become the solutions to issues faced by their families, their communities and beyond.

FAQs
We are still building a solid foundation before expanding throughout the whole country.
We have revised our timetable and extended class hours to 3 pm, allowing us to cover both the National Education Program and our specific courses.
We limit the number of students in a classroom to 35 with two teachers per classroom. This allows us to give each student the necessary attention. A psychologist also follows up with children to increase their efficiency in class.
Yes, we do. There is an association of private schools in the area that meets regularly to share experiences, knowledge, and practical tools.
Our school is Biblically based and teaches transformational leadership, self-confidence, and human dignity. We believe in what the Bible says: “Teach a child in the way he should go and when he grows up, he shall not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) We teach our students that God is at the center of every great achievement. Every week, we hold worship services for different grades, where we share the Word of God and how we serve Him.
